Passion is something that can come in all shapes and sizes. Whether it's an ambition to play a sport, seek higher education, or grow as a person, college is very important for students seeking to expand on that passion. Since I have been in high school, I've been inspired by others' passions. Seeing someone have goals and aspirations began making me want to help those who can't reach those goals due to financial issues. I want to help my fellow Titans achieve their dreams of attending their choice of school by helping to raise money for a scholarship for a student with financial need. Since 1986, thanks to the generosity of the Alexandria community, the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria has awarded more than $20 million in new and renewed scholarships to over 5700 Alexandria students with financial need in pursuit of their college and career goals; hard working and high achieving students who might not otherwise have the chance to attend college. The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria provides career, and financial aid advising to ALL Alexandria City High School students and families. At today's Alexandria City High School (formerly TC Williams), two out of three students live at or below the federal poverty level.
