Hi, I'm Maya, a junior at Alexandria City High School and a member of Titans for Scholars. I want to help my fellow Titans achieve their dreams of attending their choice of school by helping to raise money for a scholarship for a student with financial need. I believe that everyone deserves a chance to pursue higher education and that one's financial situation should not keep them from this opportunity. As a junior, I know that I am already thinking about college along with many of my peers, and it is important to me that all students, regardless of financial situation, have the chance to go to college. About the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria
Since 1986, thanks to the generosity of the Alexandria community, the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria has awarded more than $20 million in new and renewed scholarships to over 5700 Alexandria students with financial need in pursuit of their college and career goals; hard working and high achieving students who might not otherwise have the chance to attend college. The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria provides career, and financial aid advising to ALL Alexandria City High School students and families. At today's Alexandria City High School (formerly TC Williams), two out of three students live at or below the federal poverty level. Just one scholarship can mean generations of financial stability and success for an Alexandria student and their family. Want to help make a difference?
