Above the first recipient of the LRM Class of '88 Scholarship
College is not cheap and complicated enough, and it's even harder to stay in college if you have to worry about loans. That's why La'Tonya Rease Miles (TCW '88) is excited to provide support for a student who, like her, identifies as first-generation to college. Having financial support, especially when navigating as a pioneer, is even more important. This scholarship creates an opportunity to pay forward what La'Tonya and so many other students needed as a first-gen student. Together we can make a difference in a student's life by making college a reality!
Special invitation for the TCW Class of 1988 to contribute an annual amount of $88.00! Let's make our gifts recurring so this scholarship can continue to make a difference in a student's life!

About The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria
Since 1986, thanks to the generosity of the Alexandria community, the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria has awarded more than $22 million in new and renewed scholarships to almost 6,000 Alexandria students with financial need in pursuit of their college and career goals; hard working and high achieving students who might not otherwise have the chance to attend college. The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria provides career, and financial aid advising to ALL Alexandria City High School students and families. At today's Alexandria City High School (formerly TC Williams), two out of three students live at or below the federal poverty level. Just one scholarship can mean generations of financial stability and success for an Alexandria student and their family. Want to help make a difference? When we all give what we can, we can create a scholarship and help change a student's life. The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria and its many supporters are committed to help ensure that the next generation of Alexandria students with financial need will have the opportunity to attend and complete college. Scholarships really do change lives…forever.
