Our Seasonal Soirée is a celebration of Alexandria's fabulous women, a celebration of the holiday season, and a celebration of community. Enjoy delicious food catered by Mindy's Catering while sharing in fellowship with this special group of women who have a lasting belief in Alexandria's students who need our support.

This year, we will celebrate the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria's evergreen purpose and the abiding need of the students we serve. It will be an evening of giving and playing a part in the future of so many bright, hard-working students in Alexandria. Each of them has an enduring personal story and is worthy of our support.

We will have the opportunity to hear from a Scholarship Fund of Alexandria award recipient who is attending college thanks to an SFA scholarship. Hosai Rasuli is a 2024 Alexandria City High School graduate and a freshman at George Washington University. She received the Marcus Family Scholarship and is on a pre-med track. Hosai and her family came to the US from Afghanistan in 2021. She assumed many positions of leadership in school and in the Alexandria community. Hosai also co-produced a powerful documentary film, "Desperate", which was featured at the All-American High School Film Festival this past fall. Hosai values the power of education through her unique lens as a young Afghan woman, and she credits the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria for the support she's received and her generous scholarship award.

While there is a great need in our community, there is also great promise. Thank you to all who support scholarships for the talented and dedicated students at Alexandria City High School.

Happy Holidays! We hope to see you at our 10th Annual Women's Soirée at the home of Emily and Jesse O'Connell. Details to follow upon registration.

Many thanks!! The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria & The Seasonal Soirée Host Committee

About The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria

Since 1986, thanks to the generosity of the Alexandria community, the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria has awarded more than $20 million in new and renewed scholarships to over 5700 Alexandria students with financial need in pursuit of their college and career goals; hard-working and high achieving students who might not otherwise have the chance to attend college. The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria provides career, college, and financial aid advising to ALL Alexandria City High School students and families.

At today's Alexandria City High School (formerly TC Williams), two out of three students live at or below the federal poverty level. Just one scholarship can mean generations of financial stability and success for an Alexandria student and their family. Want to help make a difference? When we all give what we can, we can create a scholarship and help change a student's life. The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria and its many supporters are committed to ensuring that the next generation of Alexandria students with financial need will have the opportunity to attend and complete college. Scholarships really do change lives…forever.
