Titans For Scholars

Titans for Scholars is a group of juniors at Alexandria City High School working together to raise $12,000 so that a 2023 ACHS senior can receive a college scholarship.

Titans for Scholars is making a difference in the world. Starting with rebuilding the Alexandria community. At the beginning of this school year when I was looking at clubs to do after school I came across the Titans for Scholarship Fund. I remember at first thinking how great of an opportunity this is to show leadership on my resume. Then I started thinking deeper into why I actually would like to do it. I thought about some of my good friends that I have made at AC. How some of them are now seniors and are going away to college next year. College tuition can be a very large sum of money and the adding of student loans and debt after college can be a huge setback. I'm sad that I won't get to hang out with them anymore after they graduate, but it will make me really happy if I can help them out in any way while they're taking the next big leap in their life. In my opinion lack of money should never hold someone back from getting the education needed to be successful. It would mean a lot to me to be a positive difference maker in someone else's life.
